When I began my time at Playbill, the majority of the branding was focused on using the logo or a collage of Playbills with show art. However, I wanted to find a design that was sleek and modern that could be used for multiple seasons.
I decided to take the logo itself and use that as the focus of the collage to create a cleaner look with simplified coloring. This was my base design.
I began implementing the design in our social media presence beginning with the Facebook cover graphic. Here are the before and after.
After that initial drop, I continued to slowly infuse this design into our social media branding. This was most successful on the Instagram grid and Instagram Stories with a 37% increase in interaction.
