UNC ONboarding Document
When new employees come into our athletic department, most have never been to UNC or NC. To give the new hires a headstart on creating their new life, we wanted to create an information packet.
Before rebranding
Up to that point, the document was a pdf of uneditable text and photos. There weren’t any UNC branded elements besides seals and some blocks of blue. The documents with the copy were page by page for 50 pages. I had to start from the ground up to reconfigure the layout for the packet.
Creating Cohesion
The first step in creating a throughline to the document was to create backgrounds for the pages. This one has tree rings in homage to the Davie Poplar Tree. Each section had a different background to signify a change in subject.
Final Edit
This is the final edit. It ended taking me about two months of work to complete in its entirety. The project was completed on InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
