Playbill Social Media Strategy

Playbill utilizes a variety of different social media platforms. Each of the platforms require different strategies.

Facebook is Playbill’s primary social media platform, where I publish between 20 and 60 posts daily. My focus is on crafting witty, SEO-optimized captions and generating custom Bitly links to drive engagement and increase visibility.

Facebook

Instagram

Instagram is Playbill’s second most active platform, where I strategically utilize a mix of Grid posts, Stories, and Reels to engage followers and expand our reach.

Grid Posts

In 2023, I partnered with the Social Media Director to redesign Playbill’s Instagram Grid, updating typography, branding, and layout systems.

I introduced Instagram and Facebook Stories to fill a content gap, increasing impressions by over 10,000 per post. I also implemented a system to share Grid posts in Stories with Bitly links, driving higher click-through rates.

Reels and Motion Graphics

Reels are primarily used to highlight Playbill Studios performances, opening nights, and breaking news. They also serve as a tool to boost brand awareness and collaborate with Broadway shows on co-branded video content.

IG Stories

TikTok

TikTok is my favorite platform to work with, offering the most creative freedom and a direct connection to younger, highly engaged theatre fans. We primarily use it for breaking news, major announcements, and participating in trending content to stay relevant and drive engagement.
